Concert Bands
Wind Symphony (Music 1130)
Meets Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 12-12:50 p.m. - 137 Castleman Hall*
The wind symphony performs the finest in challenging wind literature from classical to contemporary composers.
Anyone can join wind symphony in the fall without an audition, but students must complete an audition to perform with the wind symphony in the spring semester.
Symphonic Band (Music 1135)
Meets Thursdays, 6-8:30 p.m. - 137 Castleman Hall
Open to all students and members of the community who play a band instrument. The symphonic band performs the finest in traditional and contemporary wind literature for concert band.
Symphonic band is currently only offered in the spring semester.
Auditions are not required, but may be used to assign seating or parts within the ensemble.
Miner Marching Band
Marching Band (Music 1131)
Meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 4-5:30 p.m. - 137 Castleman Hall
The Miner Marching Band is open to all students who play a band instrument. The band plays for all home football games as local parades. Besides regular class meetings, the band will also rehearse on Fridays from 4:00-5:00 p.m. the day before a home football game. Other sectional rehearsals may also be required, especially for Color Guard and Drumline.

Jazz Bands
Jazz Ensemble (Music 1136)
Section 301 Meets Tuesdays, 4:30-7 p.m. & Section 302 Meets Tuesdays, 7-9:30pm - 137 Castleman Hall
The S&T jazz ensembles are open to all S&T students and provides opportunities for students to perform contemporary and traditional big band music. Jazz ensemble also provides students with the opportunity to perform instrumental solos (jazz improvisation) with the group.
Auditions are not required except for lead players or soloists.
Student-led Ensembles
At Missouri S&T students are encouraged to pursue performance opportunities outside of our curricular offerings. Student interest varies and so do our student-led ensembles which are organized on your time with the use of university facilities. Student-led ensembles include:

- Video-Game Music Ensemble
- Movie Music Ensemble
- Jazz Combo
- Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble
- Winter Drumline
