General Information

Rehearsal rooms are available to the S&T community, but priority will be given to student organizations and ensembles that are already affiliated with the Performing Arts Program. There are generally three types of room requests we will consider:

  • Reoccurring Rental – Use on a regular basis, such as weekly student ensemble rehearsals, that run through the semester. Requests should be for no more than a two-hour block, one day per week. If there is a high demand for certain days/times, the final approved time may have to be shortened. Student ensembles have until the end of the 3rd week of classes each semester to submit their requests to ensure a reserved spot. All reoccurring rentals will expire at the end of the semester in which they are granted.
  • Short-Term Rental – Use of a room on a regular, but short-term basis (less than a semester). For example, rehearsals for a theatrical production or pit ensemble. These requests should be made as early as possible and be specific as to dates and times requested.
  • One-Time Rental – Use for events such as meetings or other gatherings that take place on a specific day and time (multiple days can be considered). When submitting these requests, please consider any time needed to set up and close out the room. One-time requests must be made at least 2 business days prior to the requested date(s).

Rehearsal Room Rental Procedure

To reserve a room, please first read the Rehearsal Room Rental User Agreement, then a representative of the group must fill out the Performing Arts Room Request. Please note that filling out the form DOES NOT guarantee that the rental will be granted.

After consideration, the person submitting the form will receive an e-mail either confirming the rental, denying it, or asking for more information. If approved, a copy of the confirmation e-mail must be accessible during your rental.
